If you're like me, you want your AK to not only look good, but be functional, comfortable to shoot. I love wood furniture as much as the next guy, but VERY nice sets can be expensive if you don't know how to finish them on your own. Polymer furniture is the next thing if you want a traditional AK, but who wants cheap plastic furniture? Enter Hogue. I've used Hogue furniture on almost every firearm I've ever owned that can take it after feeling it for the first time on my revolver. The rubberized texture and thicker mold (overmold) makes the grip and handguard very easy to grasp, and very comfortable for prolonged periods of time. The lower handguard has a palm swell too. No cheap hollow plastic feel and no risk of chipping. This stuff is DURABLE. The stylish green color as well is rather unique on an AK rifle, and just like the green furniture on the AK's of Russian Border guards. This green on my rifle symbolizes the tool that will guard the borders of my home and my country.
